Moss-Solomon private sector advisor to RNM
JAMES Moss-Solomon has been officially appointed as Private Sector Advisor to the Caribbean Regional Negotiating Machinery (RNM) — the vehicle being used by the Caribbean Community (Caricom) to lead its negotiations at international trade talks.
Moss-Solomon’s substantive position is chief corporate affairs officer at Grace, Kennedy & Company and according to an announcement from Grace, his secondment to the RNM will give that body the benefit of private sector input from an experienced senior executive.
In his capacity as private sector advisor, Moss-Solomon will offer counsel in technical matters relating to the work of the RNM, particularly in the area of private sector development and participation in external trade negotiations.
He will be empowered to speak on behalf of the RNM and may be requested to represent the organisation regionally and internationally.
Moss-Solomon who has experience in international trade negotiations, also serves as chairman of the Private Sector Committee on Trade Policy.
