Man chased, stabbed to death
WESTERN BUREAU — A man identified as Dockie Gray of Goodwill in St James, was yesterday chased and fatally stabbed by three men near the Montego Bay transportation centre.
Gray, who is of dark complexion and about five feet 10 inches tall, was clad in a pair of black jeans, black T-shirt and mesh merino with a pair of black boots.
His death brings to 25 the number of murders committed in the parish since the start of the year.
According to police, at about 9:30 am Gray, who is believed to be about 32 years-old, was seen running from three men along Railway Lane in the vicinity of the transportation centre.
On reaching the area known as Fish Lane, the police said the men caught up with him and one among them stabbed him in the chest.
He was left suffering from the wound and died curled on his side with his eyes wide opened.
He was later taken to Madden’s Funeral Home along Union Street in the city where the post-mortem examination is to be done.
Meanwhile, the Montego Bay Criminal Investigation Branch that is investigating the incident has yet to establish a motive for the murder.
