Man hit off parked motorcycle, dies
Dalton Kinlocke, 32, died from injuries he received in a motor vehicle accident on the Broughton main road in Savanna-la-Mar, Westmoreland Sunday.
Kinlocke, the police said, was reportedly sitting on a Yamaha motorcycle, which was parked on the side of the roadway when another Yamaha motorcycle, ridden by Craig Hamilton, 27, which was travelling towards Savanna-la-Mar reportedly crashed into the parked motorcycle.
The two men received injuries and were taken to the Savanna-la-Mar Hospital where Kinlocke died at about 10:45 pm.
Pedal cyclist dies after hitting pedestrian
Forty-one year-old welder, Larvin Moncrieffe, of Labyrinth District in St Mary was killed in an accident on the Labyrinth main road Sunday.
The CCN said that at about 9:30 Sunday morning, Moncrieffe was reportedly riding his bicycle along the Labyrinth main road heading towards Gayle. On reaching the vicinity of the post office he reportedly hit down a pedestrian.
Both received injuries and were taken to the St Ann’s Bay Hospital where Moncrieffe was pronounced dead and the woman admitted in stable condition.
Farmer, 77, shot dead in Papine
A 77 year-old farmer was shot dead and two other persons shot and injured by gunmen at his home in Halls Delight, Papine, St Andrew Sunday night.
The dead man has been identified as Gladstone Wallace, while injured are a 66 year-old woman and a 57 year-old man.
The CCN said that at about 8:15 pm, Wallace and two other people were reportedly sitting on their verandah. They were reportedly approached by men armed with guns who opened fire hitting them.
The three were taken to hospital where Wallace was pronounced dead and the others admitted.
… Another at Bucks Common
Sixty-two year-old farmer Lansford McLeod of Bucks Common, May Pen, Clarendon was shot dead by one of three gunmen at Bucks Common Sunday night.
The CCN said that at about 8:30 pm, McLeod was reportedly walking home in the Bucks Common community, when he was attacked by three men.
The men attempted to rob him and when he resisted, one of them pulled a gun and opened fire hitting him in the shoulder. He died on the spot.
Duhaney Park youth murdered
A 22 year-old man was shot dead by a gunman on Beeston Street in Kingston on Sunday.
He has been identified as Kevin Lloyd Brown of Duhaney Park, Kingston 20.
According to the CCN’s metro officer, at about 11:30 am, Brown was reportedly in a taxi, when it stopped to allow him to talk to a man on Beeston Street. While he was engaged in the conversation a gunman entered through one of the rear doors of the car, opened fire, hitting Brown in the head and back.
Brown was taken to the Kingston Public Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
