Weatherley confirms move to Seba
DEAN Weatherley has confirmed that he will be coaching Seba United and not Violet Kickers, when the National A-League gets underway next season.
Weatherley has coached Violet Kickers since the Montego Bay team first won the National Premier League under Errol Gillette in 1995.
At the end of last season, he coached Seba for their remaining games after Violet Kickers finished their fixtures in the A-League.
The story of Weatherley’s move was first broken by the Observer towards the end of last season. Violet Kickers finished fifth in the A-League, while Seba were relegated from the National Premier League after finishing last in the 10-team event.
Weatherley is also the national assistant under-17 football coach, and he is currently the general secretary of the St James football association.
The Observer understands that Violet Kickers may be considering the use of the services of player/coach, Winston Anglin, a former national player, to guide the team next season.
Anglin has had a history of disciplinary problems with former club, Wadadah, and the national side, before serving time in an American jail after being found guilty of possession of drugs at an airport.
