MONTEGO BAY,St James-

Investigators are theorising that Monday night's shooting death of popular Montego Bay chef Clive Wallace, outside his small restaurant here in the city, was a contract killing.

Up to late last night the name of the police were witholding the name of the suspected hitman, who was apprehended shortly after the shooting, when he ran into two vigilant cops.
The firearm allegedly used by the accused to carry out the lethal attack was recovered by the police.

Wallace, 40, resided at Bogue Village in St James,
According to the Constabulary Communication Network (CCN) liaison officer for St James, Constable Ulette Green, about 8:45 Monday evening Wallace was about to leave his restaurant, located at the intersection of North Lane and Long Lane, when he was attacked by an armed man who shot him repeatedly.

He was taken to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
