MONTEGO BAY, St James - There is a three-way tie for first place in the Flow-sponsored National Basketball League (NBL)-West after Catherine Hall All-stars beat Inner-city Avalanche 60-56 in a return-round game at the Montego Bay Cricket Club courts on Sunday.
The win, Catherine Hall's third straight, took them to 12 points from seven games, the same as Hoopers and Granville Jaguars, all with one game left to be played.

Just two teams will qualify for the two-way final to decide the national quarter-finalist and if all three teams win this weekend, as they are expected to, it will take a complicated system of tiebreakers to decide which team will advance to the finals.
On Sunday, both Catherine Hall and Avalanche turned up short-handed but entertained the spectators with a close and exciting game that went down to the wire.
Avalanche trailed by double digits mid-way the third quarter but clawed their way back to come within striking distances late in the game.
The Galton Taylor-coached team came to within two points (38-40) with one minute 35 seconds to in the third quarter before Catherine Hall's Damion Henry made two baskets to push his team to a six-point (44-38) lead going into the fourth quarter.
Avalanche chipped away at the lead and trailed by a point at 55-56 with a minute 54 seconds to go in the game and should have taken the lead after a block on Goyan Malcolm by Cleon Morgan led to a fast break, but they failed to capitalise.
Henry finished with 22 points for Catherine Hall, Malcolm scored 20, while Jermaine Rerrie had eight points and 12 rebounds.
Mikey Haughton also had 22 for Avalanche in their loss, Richard Thomas scored 13 points, while Dwayne Johns scored five points and had 11 rebounds.
