Reid's Pen secure play-off berth

Reid's Pen have secured their play-off spot in the Wray and Nephew Rum Portmore Metropolitan Cricket League for the Tony Becca Cup with a win over Ken's Wildflower at Ken's Oval.
Batting first Reid's Pen scrapped their way to 150 all out with Hanif Palmer making 29. Myron Chin took three for 24 and Dean Morgan, two for 12. In reply Ken's WildFlower were bundled out for 100 with Marlon Hoilette top-scoring with 24.
Bowling for Reid's Pen, Fabian Forbes snared four wickets for 20 runs and Robert Herron took three for one. Reid's Pen hold unto top spot in Group A with 20 points, while Ken's WildFlower are third with 14 points.
Hamilton Gardens cut down Portmore Pines by 171 runs at Hamilton Gardens. The home team took first strike and made 221 for five with half-centuries from Javier Campbell (58) and Omar Burke (53) against the bowling of Joel McClaren, who took three for 43.
Portmore Pines were then bowled out for 50 with Burke returning with figures of six for 12.
At Lime Tree Oval, Wray and Nephew Dev Squad and Belmont shared honours after rain ended play early. Dev Squad were 134 for eight with Ramone Senior striking 35 against Belmont's Markan Guy, who took four wickets for six runs. Belmont are second in Group A on 16 points.
Colours International swept aside Cumberland by 260 runs at Bridgeport. Colours made 294, powered by Troyan Ingram's 71 and Delroy Morgan (51), then knocked over Cumberland for 34 all out. Colours are runaway leaders in Group B on 26 points, trailed by Portsmouth on 18.
