Roy Bryan gave excellent support of 94 not out, while Charles Walker and Errol Chambers made 49 retired hurt, and 42 not out, respectively.
SDC started disastrously and were 15-5 in the fifth over before recovering to their total. Allen Reid came to the wicket with his team in tatters, but held his nerve to record the highest individual score in the tournament of 115, inclusive of 11 fours and six sixes. He was involved in a 107-run partnership with Darrel Hall, who contributed eight valuable runs. Apart from Reid, the only other player to contribute any meaningful score was Derrick Spence with 32. The wickets went to Joseph Allen (4-47 from seven over) and Evol Loton (3-27 from five overs). Hubert Williamson of SDC Masters was declared the best bowler with 13 wickets.
Michael Holding presented the four scholarships which were awarded to young cricketers in the Jamaica National Under-15 Cricket Competition, who participated in the coaching clinics which were run at the four grounds during the tournament.
They are Nafras Earle of Discovery Bay All-Age School (Kaiser), Gareth Henry of Runnaway Bay All-Age (Ultimate Oval), Adrian Clarke of Excelsior Primary (Melbourne) and Javar Biggs of Nain Primary & Junior High (Alpart). Two of the four scholarships were funded by Jamaica National and the other two by Michael Holding, patron of the tournament.
