Grange Hill hunt semi-final berth in Westmoreland Major League

Monday, May 12, 2008

GRANGE HILL, Westmoreland - Knockout and mid-season champions Grange Hill will seek to maintain their treble chase in the Westmoreland Football Association's Captain's Bakery Major League today as they seek to secure a place in the semi-finals.

Grange Hill, who are in second place on 29 points, two behind early qualifiers Roaring River will be hoping to at least repeat their first leg 1-0 win when they host Mt Grace at the Belle Isle Community Centre.

Roaring River will be away at the Bay Road Sports Complex to Westmoreland Police Youth Club who will be seeking their third straight win as they try to keep their slim semi-final hopes alive.

A loss today could knock the promoted Westmoreland Police Youth Club out of contention.

In the other game at Russia, the home team who are presently in fourth place in the points tables, will take on promoted Grotto after failing to win any of their last two games.

The first round game between the two teams had ended 0-0.
