St James chef shot dead

MONTEGO BAY, ST James - Swift action by a police team here Monday night led to the apprehension of the man who allegedly shot and killed Clive Wallace, a popular chef, outside his small restaurant here in the city.

The firearm allegedly used by the accused to carry out the lethal attack was recovered by the police. The name of the accused was not released by the police.

Wallace, 40, resided at Bogue Village in St James,
According to the Constabulary Communication Network (CCN) liaison officer for St James, Constable Ulette Green, about 8:45 Monday evening Wallace was about to leave his restaurant, located at the intersection of North Lane and Long Lane, when he was attacked by an armed man who shot him repeatedly.

He was taken to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
