Dancehall act Ryan Sudlow, more popularly know as Bascom X, was arrested at his Hellshire, St Catherine home and slapped with gun-related charges on Saturday.

Two other persons - one of them a woman - were also arrested and charged with illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition. Their names were not released by the police.

The Constabulary Communication Network said that members of a police party went to Bascom X's home at around 2:30 pm in search of a man suspected to be involved in a robbery in the area.

On approach of the cops, the man ran but was held. A search of the house allegedly turned up a handgun, which led to all three being charged.

The three are scheduled for court on January 8.
