Garage operator shot dead

Thursday, November 15, 2007

GARAGE operator Oliver Johnson was yesterday evening shot dead while closing his businessplace at 26 Half-Way-Tree Road in Kingston.

According to the police, at approximately 6:40 Johnson, who resided at Wallace Avenue in Kingston, was closing up his garage - Pro Links Auto Works - when two men approached him.

One of the men, the police reported, allegedly asked Johnson if he was 'locking up for the day', but before Johnson answered both men pulled handguns and opened fire, hitting him. They then fled the scene on foot.
Johnson died on the way to hospital.
