Police seeking woman to assist with probe into death of Danish man

Friday, October 26, 2007

FROME, Westmoreland - Police probing the death of a Danish national whose body was found Wednesday with a large wound to the head in Crane River, Frome have launched a manhunt for a woman whom they believe can assist them in their investigations.

"We are still looking for the woman who was said to be in the company of the tourist the night before he was found dead, because we believe she can assist us in the probe," a police source told the Observer last night.

The dead man has been identified as 49-year-old Henrick Litske, who resided in Ireland.

Litske's body and a Toyota Yaris motorcar he was said to be driving earlier, were discovered in Crane River shortly after 6:00 am by passers-by.

The car windscreen as well as the rear glass were said to be shattered.

Litske arrived in the island on Sunday and was reportedly staying with friends in the Grange Hill area of Westmoreland. He was last seen alive shortly before 7:00 on Tuesday night with a female companion.
