THE St Catherine South Police Tuesday night seized 227 kilogrammes of compressed ganja in the community of Old Braeton, Portmore, during a raid at a housing complex.

The value of the weed, which was packaged in six large boxes, two crocus bags and two garbage bags, was estimated to be over $30 million.

Tuesday night, the police, acting on special information went to a residence along Hellshire Drive in Old Braeton. During a search, the parcels of compressed weed were discovered at different locations on the premises.

No one, however, was arrested in connection with the find.
