THE constabulary's Fugitive Apprehension Team yesterday sought the help of the public in locating a Canadian, said to be hiding in Jamaica, who is wanted in his country for murder and four counts of attempted murder.

The Canadian, Devon Andre Vivian, 20, has been on the run in Jamaica for more than two months after he allegedly murdered one man and wounded four others following an altercation at a flea market in Toronto on June 9 this year.

According to the Jamaican police, Vivian and his alleged accomplice, Andre Grant, 21, were involved in a dispute with a group of men at the flea market along Highway 27 and Albion Road.

Following the dispute, Vivian and Grant left in a Mercedes Benz motor car and the group of men in a Honda Civic motorcar.

Both cars, according to the police, were travelling along John Garland Boulevard when the Mercedes Benz pulled up alongside the Honda, and its occupants allegedly opened fire at the Honda Civic, hitting five persons, one fatally.
Both men then fled to Jamaica three days after the incident. Grant was arrested on August 27 at Armour Glades Drive in Kingston.

The police have asked that persons with information that can lead to the whereabouts of Vivian to contact the Organised Crime Division at 922-3771, 967 1389, Kingfish at 811, Crime Stop at 311 or the nearest police station.
