Double police killing under probe

Saturday, May 26, 2007

MONTEGO BAY, St James -The Bureau of Special Investigation (BSI) has started investigations into Wednesday night's fatal shooting of a taxi operator and his passenger by the police, which sparked a protest by angry Pitfour residents on Thursday.

The deceased have been identified as taxi operator Roy Black, 32, and Roger Murray, 23, a chef.

Pitfour residents who protested against the police killing on Thursday, described Black as a peaceful, hard working taxi operator and that Murray was on his way to Pitfour to visit his pregnant girlfriend after leaving work at the Holiday Inn Resort Sunspree hotel.
