INCOMPLETE investigation into the child sexual assault case - turned human trafficking matter - against former deacon of the Church Dayton Diamond Ridge, Donovan Jones, and his three co-accused, has prevented a trial date being set.

When the four appeared in the Home Circuit Court on Friday, the Crown informed Justice Lloyd Hibbert that investigation into the matter, which took place more than five months ago, is yet to be completed. The case will be mentioned again on December 15.
Jones, 47; James Rogers, 18; Shamar Morgan, 18; and a juvenile are all charged with five counts of human trafficking, involving a 13-year-old girl. The accused are all on bail.

Jones, who was hired to take the 13-year-old girl from school to her home, allegedly supervised her repeated sexual assault in the back of a van over a period of days earlier this year, while Rogers allegedly videotaped the acts.

The four were slapped with sexual assault charges in the Half-Way-Tree Resident Magistrate's Court earlier, but those charges were dropped by the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) and replaced with five counts of human trafficking when the matter was transferred to the Home Circuit Court in September.
