Friday, September 22, 2006

DONOVAN Tracey, a resident of Higgins Town in St Ann, has been ordered extradited to the United States to face a string of charges, including murder, after forfeiting his right to an extradition hearing in the Half-Way-Tree Resident Magistrate's Court last week.

Tracey, 19, is wanted in New Jersey on charges of murder, four counts of armed robbery, unlawful possession of weapon and conspiracy in connection with a robbery, and the murder of a service station attendant on August 18.

Tracey was apprehended on September 12 by members of the Fugitive Apprehension Team in Higgins Town, after fleeing to the island on August 23.
