Friday, February 17, 2006

NORMAN Perry, a Jamaican wanted by United States law enforcement authorities for marijuana trafficking, is scheduled to face extradition hearings in the Corporate Area Criminal Court today.

Perry, also known as Ian McPherson and "Bigga", was nabbed by the police at his businessplace at Bay Farm Road, Kingston 11 on Wednesday.

According to the Constabulary Communication Network (CCN), about 11:30 am Wednesday members of a police team from the Organised Crime and Narcotics Divisions went to Perry's businessplace where they executed a warrant for his arrest.

He is wanted by authorities in the District of Columbia and Arizona for trafficking and conspiring to purchase marijuana, said the CCN.
