Tuesday, January 24, 2006

CLARKS TOWN, Trelawny - An 18 year-old student of Cedric Titus High School in this rural community was yesterday stabbed to death by one of his male classmates, a few metres from the Clarks Town Police Station.

Up to press time, the police had not released the name of the deceased, but said he was from the Zion community, about 14 miles from Clarks Town.

Police said that about 4:45 pm the deceased and the alleged attacker had a heated argument at the entrance of the institution, when an instrument was used to stab the 18 year- old student in the chest.
He reportedly ran a few metres and later collapsed on a street near the police station.

The 18 year-old was later taken to the Falmouth General Hospital, 12 miles away, where he was pronounced dead.
