A prison warder, suspected of trying to smuggle contraband into the prison to be distributed among inmates, is being sought by the Denham Town Police for questioning.
Byron Walker, who works at the Horizon Adult Remand Centre on Spanish Town Road in Kingston, was found with a knapsack, the police allege, containing several packets of marijuana, Rizzla cigarette wrappers, which is used by ganja smokers, cigarettes, four lighters, two cellular phones, a cellular phone charger, three ratchet knives, one switchblade, two bottles of soda, a bottle of cologne and a bunch of keys.

The Denham Town police said Walker was about to go on duty at Horizon, when he was stopped and searched by one of the security guards.
The police report that after the security guard discovered the contraband, Walker grabbed a smaller, heavier bag he was carrying and ran off. Efforts to reach Major Richard Reese, the island's prison boss, for comment were unsuccessful.
