TEF gets new executive director
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Chairman of the Tourism Enhancement Fund (TEF), Godfrey Dyer, today announced that Dr Carey Wallace has been appointed as executive director for the fund.
In a notice published in the media, TEF announced that Wallace, who was a senior consultant with psycho-linguistic training company T2 (UK) Limited, would join TEF to help promote “growth and development in the local tourism sector”.
The notice said that Wallace led T2’s growth strategy for international markets, as well as served as CEO of his family’s business S Manley Wallace & Sons, which he reportedly helped to expand from one hotel to a group of companies, including three hotels, a shopping mall and a nightclub.
According to TEF Wallace was a managing director of all-inclusive hotel Mariner’s Resort before joining the family business.
