KSAC launches app for reporting problems in the Corporate Area
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Kingston and St Andrew Corporation (KSAC) will launch its interactive mobile technology application — ‘LoveCleanKSA’ — in Half-Way Tree square on August 27.
According to the KSAC the application will allow for real time reporting on issues, such as illegal buildings, uncollected garbage, street light malfunction, illegal signs, billboards and other related issues.
Mayor of Kingston, Senator Angela Brown Burke, made the announcement at the KSAC Council meeting held at its Church Street offices, in downtown Kingston, on August 13.
Highlighting the significance of the application, the Mayor said it will allow the KSAC to respond to reports in a timely manner, and pointed out that where the matter reported falls outside the remit of the KSAC, the Corporation will forward the information to the relevant agencies.
“Our aim is to improve efficiency and effectiveness by integrating technology with our operations and by ensuring that we have the broadest partnership with our other stakeholders,” Brown-Burke said.
People wishing to download the application can visit: www.lovecleanksa.org or www.ksac.gov.jm.
Meanwhile, the Mayor noted that under a partnership agreement with the London borough of Lewisham, the Corporation has been given a state-of-the-art garbage truck, which will be displayed at the launch.
