Jamaican found dead in British Virgin Islands
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Police in the British Virgin Islands have not found anything suspicious, so far, as they investigate the death of a 38-year-old Jamaican.
According to BVI News Online, the deceased — Tracy Forbes — who had been living in the British Virgin Islands for about 10 years, is originally from Mandeville, Manchester.
BVI Online News said, according to the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF), Forbes was found “unresponsive” at her Long Trench home yesterday.
“Police are confirming the sudden death of a 38-year-old female native of Jamaica residing in Long Trench, early Monday morning.
“Inquiries indicate that the deceased had gone to sleep after midnight, but was unresponsive around 3:00 am to her boyfriend’s attempts to wake her. Upon further examination, he noticed she was not breathing, and immediately called for assistance from neighbours. She was later pronounced dead at the scene,” the RVIPF said.
“Nothing so far in the investigations indicates that the death is suspicious. However, a postmortem will to be conducted to determine the cause of death.”
BVI News Online said Forbes leaves behind her Jamaican partner, who resides in the BVI, as well as three children, including a one-year-old.
