Deejay Assassin has captured the number one spot on two overseas reggae charts with his latest single As A Man. The song removed Beenie Man's A Nuh Me from the number one spot on the BBC 1Xtra chart in London.

On the South Florida Reggae chart, As A Man put a dent into Damian 'Junior Gong' Marley's Welcome to Jamrock, which has been on top for two weeks.
As A Man marks the fourth number one hit for Assassin. His other chart-toppers include Girls Gone Wild, Idiot Ting Dat and Step Pon Dem. On local charts, As A Man joins Step Pon Dem, Dem Don't Like You and Some Gal as Assassin's current chart riders.
Mariah Carey's It's Like That dances its way to the top Mariah Carey's comeback single It's Like That from her latest album The Emancipation of Mimi is number one on Billboard's Dance Music Club Play chart this week. This is Carey's 10th single to reach number one on that chart.
Her ride on the dance chart began in 1991 when the title track from her second album Emotions, spent two weeks on top. Her other number one dance hits include Someday, Dream Lover, Anytime You Need A Friend, Fantasy, Honey, I Still Believe, and Through The Rain.
Carey's new single, the ballad We Belong Together, has marched its way into the number three spot on the Hot 100 chart.
Carey is also expected to commence a mall tour of the US in support of her new album.
The Game and 50 Cent fail to remove Akon Not even the double power of rap music giants The Game and 50 Cent could remove R&B newcomer Akon from the top of the UK Singles chart.
Their recent number one US rap single Hate It or Love It debuted at number four on the UK chart, allowing Akon's remake of Lonely to remain at number one for a second week.
Backstreet Boys album track listing finalised Never Gone, the forthcoming album from one-time teen pop idols, the Backstreet Boys, is due for release on June 14 via Jive Records. The album will contain 12 tracks. First single Incomplete is number 18 on this week's Billboard Hot 100 chart.
BITS AND PIECES Welcome to Jamrock by Junior Gong moves up from number 56 to number 49 on Billboard's R&B chart this week, while I Wayne's Can't Satisfy Her creeps from number 36 to number 32. Last week we told you that Tami Chin had met with representatives from Universal Music. This week I can report that Chin is inches away from sealing the deal on the dotted line. She is currently in New York meeting with representatives from VP Records. Place Too Bloody by Anthony Cruz and Buju Banton has landed at the top of the B Mobile/Mega Jamz Reggae chart this week. On the New York Reggae chart it debuts at number 22.
Breakaway refuses to budge It's been 10 weeks since one-time American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson has taken over the top of Billboard's Adult Contemporary chart with Breakaway. This ties Clarkson with country singer Faith Hill, whose single Cry spent 11 weeks at the top of the Adult Contemporary chart a few years ago.
However, the champ for having the most weeks at number one on the adult contemporary chart is Celine Dion's A New Day Has Come. Its total weeks on top was 21.
