The Role

We are seeking to recruit a Purchasing Co-ordinator in the Purchasing/Stores Division of our Finance Department.

Job Summary

The core function of the Purchasing Co-ordinator is to ensure the timely procurement of raw materials, fixed assets, stationery and other items for use in production and the daily operations of the company.

Among the duties and responsibilities attached to this position are responsibilities for:

The sourcing and purchasing of goods/services, both locally and overseas.

Negotiating competitive prices with suppliers, custom brokers and haulage contractors.

Preparing costing for all import items.

The day-to-day administration of the Purchasing/Stores Division.

Qualifications and Experience

A degree in Business Administration or Management Studies.

Professional certification in Purchasing or Supply Management

At least three years' experience in Purchasing at a supervisory level.

Required Skills and Competencies

Knowledge of import and customs procedures and practices.

Knowledge of Dynamics Inventory System.

The ability to work on own initiative and under pressure.

Effective supervisory management, planning and organizational skills.
