This is what you call a COMEBACK. Undoubtedly, I Can Transform Ya is one of Chris Brown's best videos to date.
The unfortunate hiatus his career experienced was redeemed by this epic collaboration with producer Swizz Beatz, renowned for phenomenal beats and cemented with the lyrically skilled Lil Wayne's imput.
The song itself is amazing. Swizz Beats definitely made a masterpiece this time. The intergalactic/futuristic hip hop-rock rhythm creates a fast-paced groove that you can't help but vibe to.
The video begins with a fast black car speeding towards the viewers, then 'transforms' into Chris Brown. This kicks off what is to be expected of the rest of video, with a concept clearly inspired by the movie Transformers.
The three (Chris Brown, Lil Wayne and Swizz Beatz) ooze swag, are clad in black white and red, and Brown is sharply dressed in the video.
For the most part, the video is simple; all the scenes were shot in a white room, which made the subjects in the video really pop.
In keeping with the lyrics, the video has a great deal of graphics and special effects of persons transforming into tankers, bikes and cars, among other things. Beautiful women in futuristic costumes are positioned on expensive, flashy bikes. The props really complemented the video's concept.
The choreography could be considered intricate and mechanical with influences of Kung Fu, and some Michael Jackson moves were used. The dances complement the fast-paced, action-filled theme of the video that grabs the attention of viewers, who definitely wouldn't want to miss even a second.
The ladies will surely appreciate this video, and so, too, the fellows. Chris Brown displays remarkable talent, and his next video is much-anticipated.
TEENage rating: 4 out of 5 stars.
