Feeding the multitude

Saturday, July 04, 2009

Members of the Christ the King Lutheran Church of Indiana spent their day of "pilgrimage" at Tastee Cross Roads with eight boys from the Sunbeam Boys' Home in Bushy Park, St Catherine.

Each year Christ the King Lutheran Church sends volunteers for a 10-day service project, and since 2004, they have been eating lunch at Tastee whenever they visit Kingston.

"The boys enjoy coming here because they can choose whatever they want and we don't mind because it's affordable," said congregation member Andrea Trundle.

Trundle orders the patties, chicken meals and drinks for her group, while the boys get ready for their treat. While they chatted and ate we snapped shots of the group enjoying their "nice Tastee treats."
