Beware!

Saturday, November 07, 2009

Dear Editor,
In contemplating our future, your editorial of November 3 suggested that an appeal to God Almighty might be warranted. Beware to whom you appeal.

You perhaps believe that God's hands are tied by Crown Parliament and constitution in a manner that admits of no other "salvation" than by paths sanctioned by these three. No such constraints. That has been a long-travelled road and has arguably served well,

if unintentionally, those corrupting influences that you allude to.

History may yet record that a grateful nation sang His praises when, "I am the rage of the people" issued from a place well known to the Commish.
So Sir, beware to whom you appeal.
