Question time, PM

Thursday, November 05, 2009

Dear Editor,
As I am a simple member of the population being led by politicians who know all things, I wish the PM would provide answers to the following: Why has it taken two years for him to ascertain the emoluments of Mr Latibeaudiere? Were the files with such information not available to him before? Why, on the eve of the IMF negotiations, is it necessary to deal with this domestic housekeeping matter?

It was mentioned in one of the statements to the press that the IMF was concerned about the high interest rate regime attributable to Mr Latibeaudiere, yet we are assured that there was no policy difference between the minister and the governor. This is not the first prime minister to remonstrate with a Central Bank governor over housekeepinhg, but it has never been this publicly dealt with and in such a scandalous fashion.
