Tommy Lee Sparta awaiting surgery
ST JAMES, Jamaica — Controversial deejay Tommy Lee Sparta is currently awaiting surgery in a Montego Bay hospital after sustaining a broken thigh bone in a motor vehicle accident on Saturday.
The ‘Psycho’ singer is said to be in pain and has been ordered to rest.
Keona Williams, director of Tommy Lee Sparta’s label, Guzu Musiq, says that the artiste is looking forward to a speedy recovery.
“As expected, he is in a lot of pain and very disgruntled that he is unable to move around and perform his usual activities. We are hoping for a speedy recovery. Tommy Lee Sparta is still scheduled to perform at Bring The Sting at Jamworld on December 26,” she says.
Tommy Lee Sparta reportedly crashed his blue convertible motor vehicle along Montego Bay’s ‘elegant corridor’ in the vicinity of the Half Moon Hotel. In addition to the broken femur, he also sustained several bruises to his body.
The deejay, whose given name is Leroy Russell, was on his way to the second city to attend his 26th birthday party when he lost control of the vehicle.
It is reported that the birthday party went ahead as planned in the absence of the guest of honour.
